Particle Size/Zeta Potential

Particle Size/Zeta Potential

To determine particle size and zeta potential, an analysis is performed using dynamic light-scattering technology.

Particle size analysis determines the average size of particles in solution. Typically nano particles range in size between 1 and 100 nanometers (nm) in diameter. The term is sometimes used for larger particles, up to 500 nm. Larger particles (less than 1000 nanometer) are usually described as microparticles.

Zeta potential is the measurement of charge on a particle surface, which provides information on the tendency for the particles to come together and form aggregates in solution.
