Microbial Contaminants
Analysis is performed using an automated Most Probable Number enumeration (MPN) method. This method is part of the FDA’s Bacteriological Analytical Manual (the BAM) and certified by the Association of Analytical Communities (AOAC). Pass/Fail limits have been established by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, based on recommendations from the American Herbal Pharmacopoeia (AHP) in their monograph on Cannabis Inflorescence.
- Standard Microbial panel includes: Total Viable Aerobic Bacteria, Total Coliform, Total Bile-tolerant Gram-negative Bacteria, Total Yeast and Mold
Pathogenic Bacterial Contaminants
Analysis is performed with an Enzyme-Linked Fluorescence Assay (ELFA). This method is based on Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assays as part of the FDA’s Bacteriological Analytical Manual (the BAM) and recognized by the Association of Analytical Communities (AOAC). Pass/Fail limits have been established by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, based on recommendations from the American Herbal Pharmacopoeia in their monograph on Cannabis Inflorescence.
- Standard Pathogenic Bacterial panel includes: E. coli (O157) and Salmonella
